A little About My Roots
Hi, I am Tyler Fontenot, the owner of Southern Roots Groundworks. I have been in business for 10 years and have a little over 20 years of lawn experience. What can I say, my roots run deep. After helping my pops run his lawn care business as a boy and in high school, I decide to attend the University of Keiser in Jupitar, Florida to pursue my dreams of becoming a Golf Pro. After working in the golf industry for 4 years and meeting my now wife, I decided to go back to my roots and open my own lawn care business. Since then, I have grown my clientele over 80% and have broaden my services to pressure washing, detailed landscaping, and the highest quality of lawn maintenance in Ascension Parish and Baton Rouge. How am I different than a multi-chain grass cutting business you ask? I take pride in my work ensuring the small details are cared to, I am easy to reach and consult with, and most importantly I always have my customers best interest and prices in mind. When I am not found cutting grass or uprooting your landscape, you can find me with my family camping, pool side, golfing or doing whatever my girls want to do on the weekends. I believe deeply in the roots of southern tradition, family, and the care your yard deserves. We needed help with our landscaping. We had many bare spots, weeds and needed pine straw. Asked Tyler if he could spruce up our beds and I said “pick what you feel would be best for the empty spots”. I trusted his judgment and he was happy to help. Before the work started, he told me what plants he was thinking about and adding more dirt and pine straw. He also gave me a quote for the work. He came today and cleaned up our original bushes and plants, added dirt, the plants he bought and layed down the pine straw. He did an amazing job and our beds have never looked better! Reasonably priced and highly recommend for your landscaping needs!
